WARNING ABOUT PICKPOCKETS

International cities like Rome, Barcelona, Naples and many other destinations globally are notorious for pickpockets.  We recommend taking the following precautions and purchasing a money belt or lanyard to wear in crowded areas or on cramped public transportation such as trains, buses or metros.  

• Don’t keep your wallet in your back pocket — back pockets and bookbags are easy marks for pickpockets.

•  In crowds be especially conscious of your purses/wallets, especially if a crowd of children are around you.

• Money belts you wear on your waist or lanyards you wear around your neck can be purchased at many stores including Amazon, WalMart and Target.

• Don’t keep all your credit cards in the same place. That way if one gets stolen, you have a backup.
